Christophe Cogan died. Born in France in 1970, he distinguished himself in the 2003 Supersport World Championship by taking fourth place in Valencia and finishing in the points area in almost all races.

He competed for a long time in Endurance and his last races were the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 of Bol D’Or, in 2007. The cause of death most probably is suicide. Cogan apparently suffered from depression. Another suicide, therefore, among the former motorcycle riders. We talked about it in November in the article “Depression in motorcycling” and this topic sadly returns to the topical.

Cogan was a true enthusiast: serious, honest, determined, he loved motorcycles and loathed lies.

Like so many pilots, he had budget problems. “2005 began without a contract, without a bike to drive” – Cogan wrote on his site in 2005 –” I only had a few unsuccessful talks, probably due to the lack of a budget. I take this opportunity to once again thank all those who supported me ”.

In 2006 and 2007 he competed in Endurance and from 2008 he tried to pass on his skills and experience to young people, dedicating himself to the activity of instructor.
