As one of North America’s premier road racing circuits, Road America continues to evolve, ensuring a world-class experience for fans, competitors, and event partners. As we celebrate our 70th Anniversary, we’re excited to introduce key upgrades that enhance safety, accessibility, and the overall atmosphere.

New Pedestrian and Golf Cart Bridge

We’re replacing our iconic 1961 stair-access walkover bridge with a modern, multi-use structure designed for both pedestrians and golf carts. Featuring ramped approaches, this bridge will improve accessibility and convenience for all guests. However, during select events, golf cart traffic through the start/finish tunnel may be restricted to ease congestion and maintain smooth movement.

North Paddock Enhancements

The North Paddock is undergoing a major transformation, transitioning to an all-paved surface while preserving its overall capacity. Beyond smoother pavement, this upgrade includes a revamped water management system, complete with storm sewers and a retention plan to ensure all-weather functionality. Competitors will benefit from an alternate entry to the false grid, reducing race car traffic on the Midway during certain events. Additionally, the existing carport will be upgraded into a more garage-like structure, offering enhanced protection and functionality.

Suite Renovation

Our suite experience is getting a significant upgrade. By merging two existing suites in the finish line tower into a single, state-of-the-art space, guests will enjoy a sleek, modern design that rivals the finest sports venues. Whether attending a corporate event or a weekend of thrilling racing, this newly enhanced suite will elevate your experience with contemporary amenities and a refreshed look.

Paddock Press Rebuild

We’re revamping the Paddock Press building to create a more efficient and welcoming space for media professionals and photographers. Featuring a modern layout with user-friendly design elements, this upgrade aligns with our goal of providing an exceptional multi-function media experience. Stay tuned for a new name to accompany this refreshed facility.

Barrier Straightening for Enhanced Safety

Safety remains a top priority at Road America. To further improve track safety, we are straightening barriers at two key locations:

  • Driver’s left between Turns 4-5
  • Driver’s left between Turns 13-14

This project involves removing and reconstructing the barrier base while ensuring that all fences and barriers return to their original locations upon completion. These refinements will enhance safety without compromising the integrity of our beloved circuit.
